The Warrior and Family Support Center

/
We were amazed at the beautiful facility built for the wounded warriors at the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC).The entire building was donated due to the efforts Judith Markeltz and others. The building is called the "Warrior and Family Support Center", otherwise known as WFSC. This center provides coordinated services to patients, next-of-kin, and extended family members with primary focus on Wounded Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom Warriors. It is a place were the warriors and their families can have a small respite from the grind of all kinds of treatments. The troops can enjoy video games, all kinds of classes, great food, select a book or video to enjoy, participate in counselling groups, make a phone call or just enjoy a cup of coffee. It helps extend the warriors rehabilitation, which involves learning to cope with war related disabilities as individuals, as couples and as families.
Judith Markeltz We met this incredible lady in November, 2011. We were so blessed that she allowed us to start teaching a card making class at WFSC
